Summary: Appears scsi devices are not being created.
Description:
Dual scsi system, aic7xxx and ips. Press F2 and enter linux. Once at Step 3
to create partitions, pressing enter and the screen flashes and I'm back at
Step 3.

The devices are loaded and looking in /proc/scsi I see both adapters
showing things hanging off them. But looking in /dev, there are no
/dev/discs/*.

this looks more like a udev issue to me, and not an ISO problem.

Does your system show up these device nodes when normally booted with
udev-068?

When choosing /dev/cdrom (from F2 screen) and continue boot. I can see the
HBA being detected and it shows the devices hanging off them. The point
where it starts mounting the filesystems, starting udev, etc. All those in
that section complete with OK.

Tried this ISO on my AMD box with an SATA drive and one IDE cdrom/DVD
burner. Like my dual scsi box I can see the sata being detected, and all
"OK"s while it's creating the filesystem, udev loading, etc, in effect all
appears normal.

Well I did not get a no root can't boot error and it went right into Step
1 of lunar-install. But as with my dual scsi box, /dev/disc* is not being
created and I still have not found why.

I found this same issue on an older PII 400 Compaq Proliant 3000. If I jump
out to a shell and manually create the links in /dev/discs before
partitioning drives, then the install proceeds without a hitch. One thing
I did notice was that in looking at the /dev/scsi tree, instead of bus0
and bus1 the controllers showed up as bus2 and bus3.

fixed in 1.6.0-rc1 series code.
