Summary:                    unable to find module gnome-dekstop in
/var/lib/lunar/moonbase
Description: 
Running through the installation of gnome2 and during the dependency build
process I see this error several times.  It does not seem to be a problem
until the build of gnome-utils2.  At this point the build fails with the
error and I'm unable to go any further.

This is not true. 

lvu info gnome-desktop 
returns me the module...

Or you have a messed up moonbase or you need to check that error again.
