compiz not working

Hello, 

 

I installed all the compiz.

But when I do compiz --replace cpp & 

emarald is not working properly.

 

When I do first emerald --replace & and after that compiz --replace cpp & sometimes it looks good.

But when i close the terminal everything is back to wprong situation.

 

I work with Gnome 2.30 and Xorg 1.8 but see no menu entries voor compiz.

 

How do I get compiz working well.
