Important: this module update does not work!

Although the corresponding wxGTK module just submitted appears
to work, this one doesn't. I can't see why, but won't have time
to look at it further at the moment. Maybe someone who is already
familiar with wxGTK and wxPython can spot what I've done wrong.
I submit this to save someone else a small amount of initial work.
