Florin has nice glibc-2.5 module. I use it with one more line/parameter added 
to ./configure in BUILD script (I think glibc is better with it):
               --with-gd=no               \
               --without-cvs              \
               --enable-shared            \
+           --enable-kernel=2.6.12.0 \
               $OPTS                     &&
