I've updated the cups module in the last few days and there are some
important changes you might wanna check out.
first of all you should lin -r cups so that the startup options are
asked and you can get a correct new cupsd init.d script. the cups scrap
itself is removed.
second is that the cups.lpd daemon can now be run automatically through
xinetd automatically, so no need to write your own lpd inetd stuff in
case you need something listening on port 515.
cups' module now install foomatic, together with the huge database of
linuxprinting.org, you can pretty much drive any printer known. Just
drop the ppd in /usr/share/cups/model/ and use the webinterface.
I've been doing some samba printing tests and it seems a lot smoother
now, let me know if you find some rough edges on cups.
