I'm installing now unofficial lunar 2.6 kernel test iso (6yboy 0.1) and SATA
works well (after manually modprobing siimage SATA driver). I should start
with it since beginning instead of fighting with official 1.4.0 iso and not
supported SATA. 2.4.x kernels are outdated and using them with new hardware
(especially SATA) is asking for troubles. Recent 2.4.x kernels have some new
things, like SATA, backported and looks working but I do not find them solid.
YMMV however, but you can try 2.6 test iso to find it useful, like me.
