wxPython compiles just fine here.  Can not duplicate your problem.  As I
view your compile log you have bigger problems, namely
"/usr/bin/wx-config: No such file or directory".  That file is provided
by wxGTK, which is in the DEPENDS file for wxPython.  So your wxGTK
installation is broken/corrupt.

Try "lin wxGTK" and if that works, then "lin wxPython".

It goes fine till it hits /src/gtk then I get a lot of this;

directory
include/wx/wxPython/wxPython_int.h:25:25: wx/colordlg.h: No such file
or directory
include/wx/wxPython/wxPython_int.h:26:23: wx/config.h: No such file or
directory
