Fixed by oversimplifying the code. The problem was that the inode got
messed up and LC never trickled back to the child function anymore. I
just clear the file without messing with the inode now, and it works
perfectly. Fix is in theedge ATM but will get into lunar later.

When each installing module begins to build the output from the download
progress is repeated each time another module in the list is started.  (
I can't tell you how manytimes I downloaded one source it must change
all the time :-P  )

This is a fix that isn't too importent.  the feature im looking for it
to clear the download info each time its displayed during the lin
