Summary: Lin does not save dependencies
Description:
Lin don't save dependencies when you "lin" a module.
And there by the module will be recompiled during a "lin --fix" because of
no dependencies registred in lunar for that module.

disregard the http://bugs.lunar-linux.org/view_bug_page.php?f_id=2 link,
it's a mantis feature to link between bugs.

This bug existed 2 weeks ago and I'm sure I fixed it already. Go lin
theedge TWICE in a row to see.

I still have this error, see my mail i sent you.

I can confirm this bug. I have had this for some time now (can't remember,
a couple of weeks?). I update from CVS daily. I need to run a --fixdepends
before I do anything else or autofix will start recompiling all sorts of
modules. The --fixdepends seems to survive between bash sessions, but not
between reboots.

niki just confirmed to me he hasn't got the bug anymore, which confirms it
is fixed now.
please 'lin theedge', do not install from cvs, and repeat at least 3 times
to verify.
Also please turn on VERBOSE in lunar/features from now on.

huysmans: please join us in #lunar tonight to confirm it is solved.

They bug only seems to be resolved when VERBOSE is set on.

I'm afraid I have to confirm that as well. It's fixed with VERBOSE on and
not with VERBOSE off. I'm going to try if --fixdepends with VERBOSE on
fixes it once and for all (I know, it's a long shot ...)

Hmm, some additional info: I did a lin --fixdepends with VERBOSE on. Then I
turn verbose off, exit the xterm, open a new xterm and lin theedge => it
works. I close the xterm, open a new one, lin theedge => the problem is
back!
It seems as if lin theedge without verbose deletes some info somwhere
along the line (a '>' instead of '>>'? but then more people should see
this ...). /etc/lunar/local/depends/theedge is empty.

upped a completely new theedge that has not this problem (verbose msgs
always return true now). Please try with verbose==off
