The commit has been pushed to relocate all the qt/kde installations from /opt
to /usr. You will want to `lin qt4 makeobj kdelibs4` in that order, so if you
are doing a `lunar update` edit the queue list and make it so. If using the
manual method, a `lunar fix` should be done. Ignoring the time involved, it
should be a fairly painless procedure. Included with this move is a bump to
kde-4.5.1.
Some notes;
The build of phonon provided by Qt4 has been intentionally disabled. It will
conflict. In addition to that it is not in version sync with the phonon module
provided by moonbase and it is *preferred* to use the KDE version.
The kdepim4-runtime and kdepim4 modules were intentionally left at version
4.4.5 and work just fine with the rest of kde-4.5.1. The issue with the 4.4.5
versions of these modules; your mail will be eaten.
The "kde" script that was in kdelibs4 has been moved to kdebase4-runtime since
this module was over writing the script when it was in kdelibs4.
kdelibs4 now depends on docbook-xml and docbook-xsl for their help system. So
if you have issues with those two modules, resolve your docbook-sgml problem.
KDE does a pretty decent job of accurately detecting the capabilities of your
video card and you can go here for more detail; http://blog.martin-
graesslin.com/blog/2010/09/driver-dilemma-in-kde-workspaces-4-5/ . However,
you might still perceive a less than optimal performance. I suggest you change
its default Oxygen style and theme to anything else.
