usbutils has been updated to 0.71 with a great many fixes. If you encouter a configuration error about libusb not at or greater than 0.1.08, then recompile libusb. I do not know why this happens. When I first compiled the new usbutils, it went fine. Then as a double check, recompiled it and got that complaint. Did the steps above and all was well.
