cyrus-sasl headache

How can I get rid of the Linux-PAM dependency for cyrus-sasl???

After getting surprised when I lined cyrus-sasl by it adding
Linux-PAM as a required dependency, I killed the lin.

I then created a modified module without the dependency on Linux-
PAM (attached) in zlocal. I do have zlocal overrides set.

Trying to "lin -r -c cyrus-sasl" still insists that Linux-PAM is
required. So, how can I once and for all get rid of lunar
thinking that cyrus-sasl depends on Linux-PAM???
