sysklogd and 2.6 kernel

Looking back at my compile logs I too received the exact same error when attempting to build sysklogd back on Oct 20th, 2004.  (I was on a 2.6.x kernel then too.)  I remember not bothing looking into it and instead just installing metalog.   If you do find something, yes, please post. Thanx.
