Hi!
Here's the latest weekly news edition!
=====================================================================
OMG!
hehehehe yes I did forget to get my personal crontabbies back on espresso.
Espresso you say? Did you want some

Ha, yes we have moved. We have moved about umm I dunno 9000km or 6500mls
east, from Raleigh Durham NC to Schiphol-Rijk The Netherlands (yes that's
in Europe). No hardware was physically moved in the process, but plenty of
electrons moved eastwards in the period between two weeks ago and roughly
this week.
The new server has been donated by Remco Lubbers, a nice guy (if I may say
so) that -just like plenty of devs- actually uses lunar in a professional
environment and found it to be the best for his needs. Remco operates a
couple of racks with a beautiful view (on the backbone) and plenty of room
(XXu). After baptising one of his boxes 'espresso' (which as plenty of people
know is my favorite beverage, beer a good second, but we don't have 2 servers
yet) and broke in the NICs both lunar and xfce now have a shiney new $HOME.
Okay it was quite a rough ride folks. We still haven't got reverse DNS yet
because the ISP isn't cooperating so mail might bounce, I know it's a mess.
The old viewcvs finally seems to have broke down in the process too. I
stopped serving ftp and won't enable it unless there are logical reasons
for it (which don't exist anyway so that's easy)... But all in all the
service level has increased dramatically. We have more space to play on, the
box is faster... Yes we're happy. =^D
You're wondering if there's anything else to mention? Sure there is... I
might keep it from you until next weekly tho, otherwise it's no fun ;^)
Oh yeah we're also now hosting #lunar-dev on our own irc server again. That
means that the freenode channel is still there but we have a backup now,
just in case of. and dev meetings now take place at 'irc.lunar-linux.org' or
'espresso.justirc.net', #lunar and #lunar-dev.
After this move we're now brewing with ideas... watch out for more news!
