Greetings,
Tonight and for the rest of the week I will be working on a new module
for the new xorg release. XOrg has matured to the point where the
configuration beforehand is no longer needed. I will take that out and
the xorg module will just build with no user interaction. Now as most
of you read on /. this morning the release was announced, but it was a
bit early as the source tarballs have not been released yet. I dont
know if they will be released today or not. If so then I will get
started tonight on the new module. If you have been living under a rock
the past few weeks the new xorg will have some development extensions
compiled in, but will not be used until you want them used. I will post
up a nice how to once I get everything working if you want those
extensions turn on. If you dont then everything will stay the same. So
be looking for the new module soon, and as always it will be ready when
its ready. Oh yeah one last thing, I will need a few devs to test the
module before it goes into moonbase. Once I have everything hacked up I
will put the module in crater and then the devs can get it from there.
Nick
