NVIDIA lin problem

Hi there,

 During an upgrade of the kernel, NVIDIA is also re"compiled", however
because the running kernel is not the same as the newly installed kernel in
/usr/src/linux, it fails. Fair enough, however, after the reboot,
lin NVIDIA fails, because the /usr/src/NVIDIA-* directory still exists, and
that way the NVIDIA installation failed me.

I recall a fix for this, but it hit me again with the 2.4.23 [> 2.4.24
upgrade.
