X still missing dependencies

Todd,
I was going to suggest the same steps (rebuilding binutils, gcc, and glibc) as
Rick suggested for your xfree86 problem, for your "lin uml" problem. I've looked
at your compile log and our logs start to diverge when the build process on my
lunar box starts to create a bunch of symlinks that your build log just totally
skips over.
It almost seems as if your binutils-gcc-glibc is corrupted somehow.
