Hi all,
I know that there was a number of mails about install problem with
X-Windows. All people having the problem, have the same problem that I
have know, e.g. when you try to start an X-application like xterm the
computer says:
xterm: error while loading shared libraries: libXft.so.1: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory.
However, it seems that the files exist, e.g. libXft.so.1 exists in
/usr/X11/lib. I recompiled xfree86 and many other programs many times
now, and I keep getting the same error message.
Is there anybody who knows for sure which steps I have to follow to
get X11 installed.
Many thanks, and btw, I really think that, apart from this problem,
lunar-linux is tremendously easy to install and has a very nice
interface (lunar) and many good applications in moonbase. Thanks to
all working on that!
Gijsbert
