Am I crazy?

I did think of something else that is curious. Remember, I did the install last week so my poor old brain is having trouble remembering that far back.
Before doing the rebuild I ran lin moonbase and lin lunar to get those updated. Seems like one of the dependencies for lunar are nano, or am I wrong? Nope, I just checked, I'm right. So if lin lunar installs nano why would lunar rebuild remove it?

David,
Yes, the E3 editor that is part of the Lunar ISO does create some symlinks for
its various vi, nano, joe, editor modes. When you do a rebuild the e3 editor's
symlinks will go away. The full versions of nano, vim, joe are to be preferred
of course. E3 is an assembler based editor that is only handy to have on the
iso for install purposes.
You can "lin e3" again but it will NOT create the exact same version that was
part of the ISO install, because those vi, nano, joe symlinks would "break" the
real version of those editors.
As to your other question, you can either edit /sbin/make-issue or /etc/inittab
and fix/modify the line that invokes make-issue.
