artists wanted, lilo boot image for lunar

The graphical image should work with both grub and lilo.

As far as I know, only one command option is needed to get grub to 
display a gzipped graphical background image:

splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz

I will test this on my machine to make sure...
