flexbackup and buffer

Flexbackup would not compile because buffer (depends) failed to compile. 
Buffer was giving some errors on buffer.c conflicting types for shmat. 
Digging around lead me to here;

So I tried the patch from here;

http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/b/buffer/buffer_1.19-7.diff.gz

Buffer now compiles.

So iirc patch files do not belong in moonbase. So where/how do I upload it?
