[Lunar-commits] r18800 - moonbase/trunk/filesys/udev

Just to clarify this .. udevstart _is_ being build. Thats not it. But
what has changed is the way udev handles device events. It seems like
udevstart is now heavily relying on udevd .. thus is will not work
correctly without udevd present (previously running udevstart once and
let hotplug handle the rest worked like a charm). So if you're having
problems using udev try to start udevd.

This should be added either to mount start script or to whatever script
starts udev now.

Also, tmpfs should be added back .. I removed it earlier because I
thought it could be the cause of all the udev problems (removing the
tmpfs line actually solved some issues since the device nodes I once
created were preserved).

The order should be: Create tmpfs, engange udevstart, start udevd. Once
all that is done udev should be running without any further hickups
(NOTE: The udev behaviour concerning this has changed dramatically from
068 to 085! Had it been tested properly we wouldn't sit here fighting
about it).

Regards,

Moritz
