I think you got him wrong. He wants to move libxml2 and libxslt back
to /libs which is very reasonable from my point of view (and I'd say go
ahead!). Both, libxml2 and libxslt, despite being maintained by the
gnome developers in the first place, have proven to be widely used by
other non-gnome-related programmers.
