qpopper won't compile without PAM

People!

qpopper won't compile on systems without PAM anymore. Since I have some
20 systems without PAM, I'd like it to work without PAM, as it used to:

checking for pam_authenticate in -lpam... no
Can't use PAM: can't find libpam
</output>

Can that be corrected?
