How to handle certain user error reports

I was reading the scrollback and read:

<crypticreign> i cant get gaim to compile :/
<crypticreign> strange...
<crypticreign> mkdir: `/usr/share/pixmaps' exists but is not a directory

after finding out that /usr/share/pixmaps is a file instead of a
directory, here's what you should do:

* ask the user to do a 'lvu from /usr/share/pixmaps'

this will tell you which module created /usr/share/pixmaps and
therefore needs to be fixed

the manual hackfix is obvious, but the above information is much more
important because it allows this problem to be fixed for everyone, so
keep it in mind if another person drops in!
