Summary:                    grub install with boot on / using XFS hangs.
Description: 
With / on a partition using XFS file system. Choosing grub as the boot
loader will hang when grub runs "setup (hd0)". When grub runs "grub> root
(hd0,0)" it correctly reports the filesystem type and partition type. 

Using the same partition but with JFS grub installs without a problem.
Having boot in it's own partition regardless of the file system used by /
has no problems installing.
