While I can build evolution and it even works properly... 
no matter which option I try to activate evolution refuses to see that
there should be ssl support... 

F.e. for gmail accounts you need the ssl option... still it is nowhere
available...
If I start evolution out of command prompt it starts saying something
about the Certificate Mangager that is his unable to start... I believe
this is related to my problem...

Is there a dependency missing ??

I can not duplicate this bug. Evolution correctly fetches my gmail using
ssl. I am using kernel 2.4.31 and I do not use kernel 2.6.x.
