User error. mysql has the optional 'libmysqlclient.so' that is
required.

Recompile mysql with this option enabled to fix/resolve.

Attachment: http://lunar-linux.org/files/issues/w3c-libwww-5.4.0.bz2 (2.21 KB)

Running ./configure with no args, it detects correctly mysql client
libraries (that are located in /usr/lib).

lin running ./configure with :

+ OPTS=" --with-ssl --with-mysql --enable-shared --with-zlib
--with-md5 --with-expat --with-dav --with-extension"
+ ./configure --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc
--localstatedir=/var --infodir=/usr/share/info --mandir=/usr/share/man
 --with-ssl --with-mysql --enable-shared --with-zlib --with-md5
--with-expat --with-dav --with-extension

Ends with an error:

checking whether to support mysql access.... yes
configure: error: Could not find the mysql client library.
