gthumb compiles correctly, but it appears to not read images. when i
browse directories with images, nothing shows up in the preview
window. i just get white space.

attached is a screenshot of what i mean. i have a terminal displaying
the contents of the folder showing with gthumb.

* cannot reproduce!
* might not be a gthumb problem but in the library chain below it
(libbonobo?)
* suggest rebuilding the most important dependencies of gthumb
