this was a CVS mishap:

install.lunar was removed from theedge (cvs rm) but still tagged
STABLE. it thus exists that the file is no longer included in "theedge"
but still exists in the cvs export "lunar". Thus the new code versions
of the routines in "install.lunar" were then overwritten by the old
code, breaking stuff.

fixed, a new cvs export of lunar.tar.bz is already avialable.

Installing modules through lunar (version 20040618) does not work
properly, since lin does not pose any question about the configuration.
