Could be related to the freetype 2.1.7 change. Must be investigated.

Courier [Adobe] disappeared from the list of Fixed Width Fonts
in KDE (Control Center and all other Font Selection).
This problem appeared with KDE 3.3.0.

As a related note, all gtk2 apps don't render Courier
as well. Just this poor Courier New replacement.
Just Thunderbird and Firefox get it right
if GTK_USE_XFT is set to 0.
