The virtuoso compile log shows the virtuoso provided odbcinc.h is looking for 
sql.h (not present on you rsystem) and it is the one provided by libiodbc. 
Unles you have not tried it I suggest lin -c libiodbc virtuoso.

If you have done that then lvu compile libiodbc to check that file actually 
got installed. I don't know why it would not but you never know. A lin -c 
virtuoso works just fine here.

BTW, which optional_depends do you have installed for virtuoso?
