rescue cd

I have tried both to boot with root=/dev/sda2 and to boot and chroot, 
both fail with a "kernel too old" message, even using the sysresccd 
(kernel 3.0.13). I use lilo for my boot loader and my boot is hosed, so 
I need to be able to run lilo.
