Grub broken.

Looks like you might have to create a menu.lst file by hand.  You put it
in /boot/grub (assuming /boot is a separate filesystem for you) and list
your kernel options in it.

I'd offer mine as an example, but it has crazy in it to deal with my
all-RAID-all-the-time system.
