you shouldn't mix mailman-specific stuff with the rest. mailman is highly 
fragile and accidentally running rmlist or something else really can ruin your 
day :)

for everyone's sanity, we have mailman install under it's own subtree 
completely, so that we don't get called in the middle of the night when someone 
accidentally deletes 20 years of archives or soemthing.
