It should be easy to add into the lvu script a new command that:

Checks if /var/state/depends is newer than /var/state/depends.cache ;

If so, removes all lines from /var/state/depends.cache
where <module name> appears in the first field,

Inserts into /var/state/depends.cache
all lines from /var/state/depends
where <module name> appears in the first field.

That could work after a "lin moonbase".
Would exporting the "lsh create_depends_cache"
to a lvu "rebuild_cache" command
make it possible to avoid a "lin moonbase"?
(Or, even better, getting it into the "clear-dep-cache" routine?)

lvu/lunar maintainers, do you have a better idea?
