How to downgrade to gcc-3.3.3?

No, downgrading to gcc-3.3.3 is not as simple as just lin -w 3.3.3 gcc.
You must also recompile glibc-2.3.5 with gcc-3.3.3 and then proceed with the
usual list of modules that need recompiling when you switch gcc/glibc.
Like binutils, modutils, all your C++ libs, and much more.
Use openoffice-bin. openoffice-src has very little chance of compiling
correctly as the build environment is quite specific.
There are no other known apps in moonbase that do not compile with gcc-3.4.4.
You would have an easier time fixing the few apps that have problems compiling
with gcc-3.4.4, than trying to downgrade your box back to gcc-3.3.3.
