Looks like time() is a precious function these days for me. Too many
things keep calling that function and thus other people have been
filling in the weeklies for me now and then. This weeks weekly is by
sofar again!
One of the reasons for this is the huge amount of changes in the last week.
Not only did all the 2.4 kernels got upgraded to 2.4.29, is gnome-2.10
and kde-3.4 in testing, but I actually managed to do some heavy-duty
coding on open issues in the core. Most notably, a few little pesky
bugs were removed, and FUZZY will be gone. We're doing some testing
on theedge as wel speak and we may even merge theedge into lunar
today or this weekend if we find things working properly.
Don't be scared by the huge list below... I know it's a pain to track
updates nowadays, especially when all 3 major DE's (including xfce)
release a major new version. Plenty of upgrades actually solve longlasting
problems, so it's really progress in my opinion.
While doing some bugsquashing, I've noticed plenty of old bugs that need
re-validation. If people can be so kind to see which open and *old*
bugs are already fixed, and let us know... we would be grateful.
On top of that, this week I merged most of my -iso generation code back
into CVS. This means that with the kernel-specific changes from nestu
we are getting close to a unified iso-building method for lunar.
Hopefully either nestu or me feels confident enough to let a lone
iso image accidentally on one of the servers so you can nab a copy
and play with it. People interested in using the build code should
talk to me for a copy of the scripts.
