I understand your point. Though at this point I was only concerned about the 
conflicts (or not). Same here about the browsers.

I see in the espgs POST_INSTALL it does a ln -sf /usr/bin/gsc /usr/bin/gs. I 
have found some old google hits about the conflicts but nothing recent as 
yet.
