Here's the latest weekly news edition!
Foo! Yes indeed Foo. I've setup a new domain name for all joint projects
to umbrella under called 'foo-projects.org'. Not that it changes anything
for lunar or Xfce, it just makes more sense since right now espresso (dot
foo-projects dot org) serves 5 projects and I want to encourage people
with small projects that also need hosting and more services (e-mail,
mailinglists etc) that like the way lunar and xfce work to join us and
become a foo-project.
Anyway nothing changes for most people, except that maybe some hostname
referrals need to be adjusted to 'espresso.foo-projects.org' for for instance
our IRC server.
We've been brushing up on our XML and RSS and now have a couple of interesting
feeds for people to follow. First of all there is http://bar.foo-projects.org/
which combines all xfce and lunar work into a single rss-driven page with
blogs. As 'bar' sounds it's also a less formal discussion platter. The lunar
update summary feed lists the most notable moonbase updates and can be read
at http://lunar-linux.org/misc/updates.rss. It's updated every 5 minutes so
no need to wait until the weekend for the weekly ;^)
No major updates this week but you'll find a whole bunch (more than normal)
minor updates in the list below. There's a whole lot of perl modules in
there as well as some MPlayer updates, KDE, i18n stuff, python, cups and
a big courier-imap rewrite. People should really update their theedge/lunar
currently as many smaller bugfixes are merged into the core these weeks,
I try to bump them frequently so everyone gets the changes ASAP. Keep
those boxes up2date!
