Hello there!
Quite a mixed week for lunar-linux this week, some updates as you can
see by the lengthy list below, some development discussions and some
news exposure for the server.
There was a developers meeting on IRC last saturday in which some
issues were discussed regarding most notably dependencies. Although the
final outcome of course depends on how we act on our findings we can
at least state right now that dependencies are badly implemented. Most
notably the so-called -profile modules act wrong on several occasions,
making things harder instead of easier. There will be more to come on
this later on.
Florin 'bumped' KDE... as usual with maintenance releases
it's a ton of updates that will make your KDE look exactly the
same... except for some bugfixes. You can track the Changelog here:

Xfce.org got mentioned in slashdot this week, even made it with a
hyperlink on the main index page of slashdot. This resulted in 315.000
urls served by our server, which as many of you know is hosted on the
main server as lunar-linux.org. As the server is still not healthy
and running on one CPU, and the slashdot crowd massively browses the
(excellent and mostly running on lunar) screenshots... things kinda
grinded to a halt. Screenshots are in such a case redirected offsite
which makes the crowd and the server happy. All in all this also got
lunar-linux some more exposure since the xfce site gracefully links
against ours. Sorry about the slow moonbase updates ;^)
