kde 3.3 compile error

I did:
 lin moonbase
 lin coreutils
 lin gcc
 lin -c qt3 ( -c needed or it tries to resurrect some broken qt3 were kde packages
               complain about a missing qt-mt library)

Yet, the QThreadStorage error persists.  Is there any other step I might be missing?
