you have wxgtk installed and bittorrent *can* use that. If you enabled 
gtk2 support for wxgtk you'll have to disable it since it is broken (see 
other threads about wxgtk). Alternatively, you can (remove wxgtk and 
rebuild BT... or) use the console versions of the bittorrent programs.
