moonbase has version 1.0.5
sf.net has version 1.1.0

It's current depends tree includes (among other things) 'freetype1' and 'edb'  
I do not have either installed (though I do have freetype2 installed) and the 
build when just fine, didn't complain about anything missing.  Note I did 
happen to have the rest of the imlib2 depends installed (tiff libungif libpng 
jpeg gtk+) just not (freetype1 edb).  

After looking into it... It's README file says only current depends are...
libjpeg
libpng
freetype 2.1.x
