hmmm, I must be getting stupid:
root at server1 ~ # lvu version php
4.3.5
root at server1 ~ # lrm -D php 4.3.4
Desired version is not available. Here is the available files
/var/cache/lunar/php-4.3.4-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2
/var/cache/lunar/php-4.3.5-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2

I've done some trial&erroring:
root at server1 ~ # lrm -d -v -D php 4.3.4
++ root_check ()
+ running "php" DETAILS file
Desired version is not available. Here is the available files

root at server1 ~ # lrm -d -v -D php/4.3.4

4.3.5

Any ideas about what I am doing wrong here?

I did read the manpage completely, but I must have missed it :-(
