passing parameters to nic-driver

I can't get any parameters passed to the nic-driver using the Lunar tools, but
it's probably me ;-)

I use lnet and at "Optionally, enter the NIC module paramters" I've put
"full_duplex=1", which gets processed allright, since
/etc/config.d/network/eth0 contains the line "MODULE_OPTIONS=full_duplex=1"
afterwards. But this doesn't seem to have any effect.

If I pass the option to the driver the old-fashioned way, by adding the line
"options via-rhine full_duplex=1" to /etc/modules.conf, things work as
expected.

What am I doing wrong here?

I'm using net-tools 1.60
