Gettext

I know we've had a few issues lately with gettext and (glib or glibc). 
Maybe this will help maybe not, but gettext 0.12 is on the gettext ftp,
whereas we've got 0.11.5 in the moonbase.  I have not tried building it
yet personally, but I thought i'd let it be known that this version
exists.
