host command

Ok ... I guess I will have to install "bind" eventhough I will not use 
bind but, without knowing "adns", I prefer standard packages.

the *OTHER* package installing 'host' is bind, but I guess you don't
really want that.

as a side note, glibc comes with "getent", which uses libresolv:

$ getent hosts lunar-linux.org
216.228.105.15  lunar-linux.org

maybe this is enough for your needs?
