question concerning devfs

hello, 

i installed the 1.3 version of lunar linux.
i thought i configured the kernel correctly, but when restarting, devfsd 
wasn´t started. 
now i wanted to reconfige the kernel but going through all options i didn´t 
see where to enable devfs-support. where in the kernel configuration lies 
this option??
maybe i am blind but i didn´t see it going several times through everything.
